Ohm's Law Calculator

Calculate Voltage, Current, or Resistance using Ohm's Law.

Formula

Ω

Calculating Voltage (V)

Voltage, also known as electric potential difference, is the force that pushes electric charges through a conductor. This calculator helps you find the voltage when you know the current and resistance.

The Formula

V=I×RV = I \times R

Where:

  • V: Voltage (Volts, V)
  • I: Current (Amperes, A)
  • R: Resistance (Ohms, Ω)

Example

If a circuit has a current of 2 Amps flowing through a resistor of 5 Ohms, the voltage across the resistor is: V=2 A×5 Ω=10 VV = 2 \text{ A} \times 5 \text{ } \Omega = 10 \text{ V}
