Calculating Force (F)

Force is an interaction that, when unopposed, will change the motion of an object. This calculator helps you find the force applied to an object given its mass and acceleration.

The Formula

F=m×aF = m \times a

Where:

  • F: Force (Newtons, N)
  • m: Mass (Kilograms, kg)
  • a: Acceleration (Meters per second squared, m/s²)

Example

If a 10 kg object accelerates at 2 m/s², the force applied is: F=10 kg×2 m/s2=20 NF = 10 \text{ kg} \times 2 \text{ m/s}^2 = 20 \text{ N}
